چکیده:
In the present work, by using ethanol as a reductant of NADH regeneration in liquid phase, the relationship between ethanol consumption and bioreduction of an aldehyde in whole cells of bakers’yeast (saccharomyces cerevisiae) has been studied. in addition, the process efficiency has beeninvestigated by a NADH- dependent reduction. Effect of temperature, atmospheric conditions(aerobic or anaerobic) and initial cosubstrate(energy source) concentration on reaction rate of the biocatalyst wasinvestigated. It has been observed that rate of hexanal reduction increases as the temperature increases while theoxygen limitation(or anaerobic condition) helps to more cofactor regeneration. Investigationof the repeatability is very important for the next kinetic studies or modeling of these systems which is confirmed during the experiments
